Xerox DocuPrint CP315dw This single function colour laser printer is said to produce up to 28 pages per minute in black-and-white or colour. In the test conducted this printer manages 29 black-and-white pages per minute, after the usual practice of discounting the time it takes to print the first page. It takes 6 seconds for the first black-and-white page. It also shuffles colour pages at the same level, although the first colour page takes about 7sec. It's also fast for two-sided pages, producing about 20 black-and-white pages per minute while operating in duplex mode. Prints, especially text documents, look great. Pictures and graphics look very decent too.

Fuji Xerox highlights that mobile connectivity is one of the key features of the printer, although, of course, you can still connect the printer to your home network via a LAN cable. CP315dw supports AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and integrates with near-field communications (NFC). You can send work to printers directly from a mobile device without connecting to a network or router, using the Wi-Fi Direct feature. It also has the Mopria Alliance certification, which basically means you can print from Android devices via the Mopria Print Service app rather than using the Fuji Xerox Android app itself. This is important because the Fuji Xerox Print Utility app (for iOS and Android) looks primitive, compared to the sleek apps offered by other printer manufacturers. That said, I found the Fuji app quite useful, with the ability to print photos, documents and Web pages from your mobile device.

New to this series of printers is Fuji Xerox's Cloud Service Hub, which lets you print files, such as Microsoft Office documents, from cloud services like OneDrive, Dropbox and Evernote. You can access this service through the Fuji Xerox print application. CP315 dw does not have a USB port for external USB flash drive. There is only a USB cable that lets you connect the printer to a computer. The paper tray at the bottom of the printer can hold up to 250 sheets of paper while the bypass tray has space for additional 50 sheets. Fuji Xerox also offers an optional 550 sheet feeder for those who need more capacity. Change one of four simple toners - pull open the front panel and turn off used toner.
