Xerox WorkCentre 7800i Series offers a standard printing, copying and scanning with optional fax. 7800i series is equipped with a 1.2 GHz processor, 250 GB hard drive, and 2 GB memory. Xerox has introduced a new technology called ConnectKey that is designed to help users find workflows faster and increase office productivity by using apps. Users can download apps from the Xerox Application Gallery such as Print from Dropbox and Scan to Microsoft Office 365. In addition to accessing the WorkCentre 7800i workflow from a desktop or mobile device, users can also find direct way troubleshooting from the device. ConnectKey also helps administrators cut printing costs by limiting the use of color printing and user consent settings.

WorkCentre 7800i series is a device that can be upgraded for medium to large companies that require multifunctional tabloid color (11 "x 17"). Xerox WorkCentre 7800i series comes with a standard 520 sheet tray and 100 sheet bypass tray. The printer supports paper up to 12.6 "x 19" in paper size and 300 gsm in weight. In WorkCentre 7830i and 7835i MFP, there is a three-tray option that totals 2,180 sheets (from three 520-sheet trays). Xerox also offers a high capacity tandem bin on all devices totalling 3,140 sheets (from 520-sheet trays, 867-sheet trays and 1,133-sheet trays). The tandem tray only accepts letter-size paper (8.5 "x 11"). There is also a 2,000-capacity high-capacity feeder and an envelope tray that holds up to 60 envelopes. The four MFPs include duplex automatic document feeder. The standard output tray holds 250 sheets and a 100 sheet tray. There are many different finishing options. There is a Professional Finisher that has a 500-sheet and 1,500-sheet tray. These include 50-sheet multiposition stapling, as well as punch holes, saddle stitch and V-fold booklet booklets. There is a 50 sheet comfort stapler with a working surface for sorting paper.

The scanning function supports scanning to multiple destinations, including mailbox, USB, email, and network. Supported file formats include PDF, PDF/A, JPEG, TIFF, searchable PDF and password-protected PDFs, to name a few. Optional scanning features include ConnectKey for DocuShare and scanning to the desktop. The optional fax function supports Internet faxing, faxes forwarded to email and SMB as well as call fax. WorkCentre 7800i series includes many standard safety features, such as anti-virus solutions McAfee embedded, overwrite hard drives, 256-bit encryption, secure print, fax, scan and network authentication and user permissions, to name a few. Optional features are Xerox PrintSafe software, McAfee integrity control and Smart Card activation devices. This printer prints the first page in the time span from 7.1 seconds to 9 seconds. PCL and PostScript are standard, and XPS is optional. Standard connectivity includes USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. The printer also supports supported mobile printing and scanning.

Xerox offers an optional EFI Fiery Network Server. It comes with a 2.9GHz controller, 1GB memory, and a 500GB hard drive. PostScript language and Ethernet connectivity are supported. This includes features, such as PANTONE color charts, job previews and job merging, color settings and secure printing, to name a few. The WorkCentre 7800i series is not intended for small businesses or offices that do not require a lot of copying, printing, or scanning. The WorkCentre 7800i series offers mobile printing and scanning. Standard mobile support including Apple AirPrint, @PrintByXerox app, Xerox App Gallery, and QRCode app. Mopria certified smartphones are also supported. Xerox WorkCentre 7800i Series: WorkCentre 7830i prints at 30ppm in black and color and has 90,000 pages per monthly cycle. WorkCentre 7835i prints at 35ppm in black and color and has a 110,000-page duty cycle per month.
