The Xerox WorkCentre 7970i printer is ideal for offices and companies that have large print volumes. This printer can print and copy at 70 ppm in color or monochrome, the first print time is 6.9 seconds in color. Xerox WorkCentre 7970i multifunction printer that offers standard printing, copying and scanning with optional fax. The printer comes with a 1.2GHz processor, 250GB hard drive, and 2GB of memory. WorkCentre 7970i joins the WorkCentre 7800i Series in Xerox’s lineup.

Xerox WorkCentre 7970i has two trays that each hold 500 sheets and trays cut 100 sheets. They support up to 12.6 "x 19" in paper size and 300 gsm in weight. Xerox also offers a high-capacity tandem tray with a total of 2,000 sheets (from the 867-sheet tray and 1,133-sheet tray). The tandem tray only accepts letter-size paper (8.5 "x 11"). There is also a 2,000-capacity high-capacity feeder and an envelope tray that holds up to 60 envelopes. 7970i includes a single pass duplexing document feeder that scans up to 133 ipm and receives up to 130 sheets. The standard output includes a 250-sheet double-haul tray and a 100-sheet tray. There are many different finishing options. First, there is a BR finisher with a stack of 3,000 sheets and 500 top tray sheets and includes a 50 sheet multiposition staple.

The WorkCentre 7970i supports scanning to multiple destinations, including mailbox, USB, email, and network. Supported file formats include PDF, PDF / A, JPEG, TIFF, searchable PDF and password-protected PDFs, to name a few. Optional scanning features include ConnectKey for DocuShare and scanning to the desktop. The optional fax function supports Internet faxing, faxes forwarded to email and SMB as well as call fax. WorkCentre 7970i includes many standard security features, such as the embedded McAfee anti-virus solution, hard drive override, 256-bit encryption, secure printing, fax and scanning, network authentication and user permissions, to name a few. Optional features are Xerox PrintSafe software, McAfee integrity control and Smart Card activation devices. Xerox WorkCentre 7970i supports standard connectivity including USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. WorkCentre 7970i offers mobile printing and scanning. Standard mobile support includes Xerox App Gallery, and QRCode app, Apple AirPrint, @PrintByXerox app. Mopria certified smartphones are also supported. Xerox has introduced a new technology called ConnectKey that is designed to help users find workflows faster and increase office productivity by using apps. Users can download apps from the Xerox Application Gallery such as Print from Dropbox and Scan to Microsoft Office 365.
